Can I be both Writer and Proofreader?

No, you can only be one of those. If you accidentally chose the wrong role while registering, please contact us by either using the contact form or by sending an email directly to peerproof@eusa.ed.ac.uk.

Can I register as a Writer this semester, but change to Proofreader during the next one and vice versa?

Yes, you can change roles from one semester to the next, but we will need to make this change for you. You will need to contact us by either using the contact form or by sending an email directly to peerproof@eusa.ed.ac.uk in order to switch roles. Please allow at least 5 working days for us to process the change.

How long does my registration on the platform last?

All registration data is erased at the end of each academic year. This means that if you register in the first semester, you will remain registered in the same role for the second semester, unless you notify us otherwise (see above). Any students interested in continuing their participation from one academic year to the next will need to re-register starting from September.

I want to be a Writer/Proofreader but the registration is currently closed, what can I do?

The registration is open only for a set period of time each semester. If you missed the registration period and want to be a writer/proofreader, please contact us by either using the contact form or by sending an email directly to peerproof@eusa.ed.ac.uk. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

It has been almost 2 weeks now but my Proofreader still has not sent me the comments, what can be done?

Once your submission has been matched with a Proofreader, they will have exactly 2 weeks to submit the comments. All proofreaders get email reminders when the job is approaching the 2-week deadline (1 week before the deadline and 3 days before it). If they fail to complete the job during the allocated 2 weeks, you will be assigned a new Proofreader and the previous one will have their account suspended.

My account got suspended, is there any way to restore it?

If you have any questions regarding your account, please contact us by either using the contact form or by sending an email directly to peerproof@eusa.ed.ac.uk.
